Alrighty, we're back to Maria Kvilhaug's The Seed of Yggdrasill, this time focusing on the third chapter, covering the "Maiden with the Mead."

That alone is one of the deepest insights I have ever encountered around Norse religion.

Why thank you! Kvilhaug comes close to suggesting something of the sort, though she doesn't use that language. From the way she talks about "pantheism," I get the impression she's influenced by some flavor of perennialists, maybe Evola. At any rate, wherever her interpretative view is coming from, her take on the heroic myths as a cycle about reincarnation is a really interesting one, and one that I plan to give some meditation time when I have some room in my schedule.
