I must say you captured the feel of reading it well, and you may be interested to know that all of Krebs' books I have tackled so far (Paths to Immortality, Christianity, Principles of the Bible, and the one I'm working on now, The Freemason) adopt the same approach of taking a character through stages of belief, but each time with variations, as if he were consciously attacking that problem of 'different strokes for different folks'.
