Thanks very much! I'm actually already using CSS to style things, as I'm trying to keep the html pretty basic. I write new posts in one big .org file in Emacs and use org-mode's built-in publish feature to export the html. I've been largely inspired by Jeff Huang's Designed to Last post, where he argues for a handful of design decisions that make a website as future-proof as it can be. If I ever get to the point where I need something more involved, I'll definitely ask you about it.
